NPT / CONNECTION GUIDE
Connect your device.
Prepare your workbench.
Use this checklist when NovusProTool cannot detect a supported Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone.
Start with the cable and Windows drivers
Use a USB cable that supports data transfer. Connect directly to the computer while testing, and try another USB port or cable if Windows does not detect the device. A charging connection alone does not confirm a working data connection.
Install the appropriate USB drivers from the device manufacturer's trusted support source. In Windows Device Manager, check for an unrecognized device or driver warning. NovusProTool does not install USB drivers automatically.
Check the phone's connection mode
ADB, Fastboot and recovery connections expose different interfaces. If you use ADB on a phone you can access, authorize the connected computer on the phone when prompted. The program shows the device information available in the current mode.
Some service workflows need compatible Mi Assistant or recovery mode. Follow the app's available steps; a greyed out action means its requirements have not been met. Detection alone does not guarantee service compatibility.
Before starting a device service
Use your NovusProTool account and check the displayed service price and available credits. Device and firmware support varies. Back up data before operations that may reset the phone, and service only devices you own or have explicit permission to repair.
If the network disconnects during a request, record its order number and check History. Do not repeatedly submit the same request. Support can review an uncertain result and its billing status.
